Don’t Forget…

Alright

“Everything is Going to be Alright” by Martin Creed – displayed on the outside of the Tate Britain

These are comforting words that I think everyone needs to hear every now and again! I know they brought me comfort yesterday when I looked up and saw them!

I love this. I felt calm just reading it. I can’t imagine what it was like standing there looking at it and thinking about the person who thought it would be a good idea to write this message on this building as it was being built. Absolutely awesome. There are messages all around us to help us through our day – we just have to be aware and look for them. Love you xo

Indeed, everything IS going to be alright. Or maybe even better than alright. It might even be ALRIGHT!

I remember seeing this sign on the tourist information centre in Milan – wonder if it travels around the world?

Yes actually the artist produced this work in 1999 and it became part of the Tate collection in 2009. The outgoing director of the Tate Britain thought it was an apt work to put on display to coincide with his departure :-)
